Friends of Ferris Animal Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting fundraising efforts benefiting our local animal shelter. Our mission is to ensure that every animal in need receives the care and love they deserve. The City of Ferris provides a budget for animal services, but often the needs are greater than the budget can cover and the generosity of others fills the gap. Many times the animals who are taken into the shelter have high-cost medical needs such as spay/neuter, heartworm treatment, maternity care, and complex injuries requiring surgery and recovery. The volume of animals needing homes also often requires transport to fosters and adopters in distant locations. Through community engagement, fundraising events, and tax-deductible donations, we work to provide resources to enhance their lives and provide happy, healthy futures.
